Class grade calculator

“Class grade” searches usually mean one course, not GPA. Build the category rows from the syllabus, see the running percent, and optionally solve for a remaining final or project.

When to use — and when not to

When to use

Progress report for one class; parent asks “what’s your grade in biology?”; you trust category averages more than the portal total.

When not to

Multi-class GPA — use the GPA pages. Simple equal average — grade average calculator.

Assumptions

One class. Category percents from the syllabus. Remaining row optional.

How it works

course% = Σ(score × weight) / Σ(weight)
  1. Add categories for this class only.
  2. Enter scores and weights.
  3. Optionally mark a remaining assessment and set a target.

Examples

HW 95 @ 20%, Labs 88 @ 20%, Tests 76 @ 60%

course ≈ 81.8%

same + Final empty @ 30% by shrinking tests to 30%, target 85

Gotchas

  • Do not mix two classes in one table.
  • Participation “completion” scores can be all-or-nothing — enter what the teacher uses.
  • School rounding (89.5 → A−) is local policy.
